Activities
On a monthly basis, IFA plans at least one event for adults and one for families and/or children. Every month the IFA members come together for a coffee at one of the members' houses and discuss other activities that the members want to plan during the month. Everyone is notified via email of these upcoming events. We encourage all of our members to make suggestions to the board on activities they would like. If you can not attend a meeting you can always send your suggestions via email to the board.
July Activities
Tuesday, July 8th ; 9:00am - 12 noon: Arashi Beach Arashi Beach Days from 9am-12noon. Everyone is invited. Enjoy the beach every Tuesday during the summer. Contact Ann Derrickson with any questions.
Thursday, July 17th ; 9:00am: Butterfly Farm The butterflies come out in force around the full moon. Join us for a magical morning with the butterflies and the fascinating talks by one of the knowledgeable staff. A tip to those interested - if you put lotion or sunscreen on the butterflies will often land on you because they are attracted to the scent. For more information please contact Melissa Cavan
Wednesday, July 23 ; 12:30 pm: Book Signing at Charlies Bar IFA member Daniel Putkowski will be discussing and signing copies of his Aruba-based novel, An Island Away, on Wed 23 July at Charlie's Bar, 56 Main Street, San Nicolas, at 12:30pm. Books will be on sale at the Charlie's Bar "Boozers" Souvenir Shop, next to the bar. If you already have the book, stop by and Dan will sign it!
Friday, July 25th ; 9:00am - 12 noon: Dinner Club
The first Dinner Night will be held on Friday July 25th at the Sunset Beach
Bistro at the Aruba Phoenix. The table(s) will be booked for 7.15pm and the
number of attendees is completely flexible. The price is $29.50 (inclusive
of Service Charge and tax) for the 3 course meal on the menu attached. We
will be arranging separate bills for everyone participating on the night so
you will only pay your own expenses including your own drinks/wine/extras.
However, to be fair to the restaurant we need to know if you will attend by
Tuesday 22nd July at the latest so we can book the table(s) 48 hours before
the dinner. If you book and require to cancel, please do so at least 24
hours before the event.
